When a guy burps in Public, it is funny, and yet when a girl burps it's disgusting and "Un-Lady-Like." Farting, though is another story. I think it is gross whether it be a guy or girl farting in public even though it comes natural and everyone does it. I myself burp really loud, and I'm not ashamed of it. I mean I don' think its cool or cute for anyone to burp, I am just saying I don't think it should make a difference whether a guy or girl is burping. When I burp in front of my grandma, she yells at me and says "That's not how a young lady should act," and yet, when my guy cousin burps, my grandma does not say anything! My mom is like that too, she yells at me every time I burp and tells me to act like a lady.
Do you think it is in appropriate for a girl to burp in front of other people?

Hell yea i do. Who cares if your a guy girl. You gotta do what you gotta do. Burping comes naturally for everyone and it isnt right for people to discriminate and say only guys can do it in public. Though in some places it is better to be discreet about it such as resaturants, libraries, meetings, etc. butthis goes for girls and boys both. Many may think it is unladylike but thois is only because we make it this way.
Burping on occasion or on accident in public is ok especially if you say excuse me but if you're ALWAYS doing it, yea there's a problem and its usually seen as being worse if your a woman. For some odd reason in this counrty, men have too live up to all these standards usually placed on them by the female population to be considered a "man". Yet the moment a woman is held to ANY standard they call it sexism. Seems like reverse sexism to me. Yes burping is unladylike yet not many men will tell you that for fear of being called a sexist so i wouldn't worry about it.
